Zenani Mandela on Gender Inequality against the late, Winnie Mandela.

winnie mandela's speech

Zenani Mandela delivers a heart wrenching speech at her mother, Winnie Madikizela Mandela's Funeral on 14 April 2018. On her speech Zenani highlights about gender inequality , she states, i quote "..praising her now that she's gone shows what hypocrites you are. why didn't you do the same to any of her male counterparts and remind the world of the many crimes they committed before they were called saints?" Zenani Mandela speaks about how her mother was not honoured accordingly while she was still alive, confronting the people, particularly the media who have said and written lies about the late Winnie Mandela and they are singing her heroics only now that she has passed on.
welcoming the first time entering students at University of Zululand after registration.
Allow me to introduce myself. I know this has been long overdue. My name is Sinenhlanhla Maphisa. I am from Gingindlovu, North coast of Kwa Zulu Natal. I am a Public Relations level 3 student at University of Zululand. After graduation, I would like to further my studies and pursue a B.Tech Degree in Public Relations at Durban University of Technology or Tshwane University of Technology. My area of interests is corporate communications, I would like to become a communications manager one day. My goals for the upcoming semester is to gain the best practical experience.  I have applied at Umhlathuze municipality and at Eshowe District hospital for in-service training in Public Relations department. Being a peer helper this year motivated me to start this blog, I have always wanted to be a peer helper because I love working with and helping other fellow students. Imagine if someone is going through life altering challenges that would drive one to fail dismally, to quit school or even worse, commit suicide and there was a way in which you could have helped that person, wouldn't you feel a sense of guilt? i would. I have always felt the need to be responsible, it is how i was brought up and maybe it is because I am older than most of my fellow students and being a mother makes you want to take care of everyone around you, yes i do have a three year old, beautiful daughter.  So this blog is about I being a peer helper and of course I will talk about other topics too. I'm completing my Diploma in Public Relations Management studies at University of Zululand this year, I will not be a peer helper forever but i will continue with my blog for as long as i live.

Here are a few tips on studying effectively.

Examination season has arrived. The Atrium (the hall where examinations are wrote at university of Zululand, Richardsbay Campus)  is nobody's friend, I wrote a Communication Studies assessment there today and I felt nervous . It is best to come in the examination room prepared. So study hard. I am doing Public Relations management, so most of my modules are based on theory. Some students study well listening music on the background, some study well when they feel pressured, like two days before exams and it works for them, some students study notes like reading a romantic novel. when studying I read notes (silently not aloud) thoroughly, with understanding, I write them down as Im processing what Im reading on another clean exercise, and by writing the notes down it's like they get automatically written on my mind, this way has proven to be effective for me. It might work for you as well. It is important to be comfortable when studying, I prefer a nice, clean and quite environment. find a chair and a table, studying in bed is not 100% effective for me, I end up feeling sleepy and lazy. Organise your time, and most importantly organise your notes. Trust me you can not study on an empty stomach, have food or if you do not have any, drink some water. good luck on your exams and remember the hard work puts you where the good luck will find you.

THE DREAM LAUNCHE, What are your dreams, goals and wishes?

03 February 2018, The dream launche with first time entering students at University of Zululand, Kwa Dlangezwa campus. it was a beautiful experience, we had balloons that were filled with helium,  each person  had a chance to make their wish before releasing their balloons. it was my first time experiencing such and the first years seemed so excited as well they were even emotional, laughed to tears and begged for the dream launche to be implemented again. I made many wishes before releasing my balloons, the first wish was finishing my diploma in record time with distinctions, the second was to be a good role model/peer helper to first time entering students and other fellow students, my third was to become successful in building a strong relationship with God, develop myself as a person, my faith and stay humble all the time. what are your wishes?:)
